What the app does

Sam App Lock lets you protect installed apps with a PIN or supported biometric unlock. Authentication, app choices, and lock settings are processed on your device so the lock screen can appear when a protected app is opened.

Permissions

Android permissions are requested only to provide locking:

Usage access. Detects when a protected app is launched so the lock screen can appear.
Query all packages. Shows a full list of installed apps so you can choose what to protect.
Display over other apps. Shows the authentication screen above a protected app.
Foreground service. Keeps protection active in the background.

These permissions are not used to build a profile of you, and they are not used to send your app list or usage to the developer.

Accounts, analytics, and ads

Sam App Lock does not require an account. The Play listing does not declare analytics or advertising data collection. There is no in-app sign-in with this website.

Children

The app is rated 3+ on Google Play and is committed to follow the Play Families Policy. A parent or guardian can use the locker to help limit access to settings or purchases. Children should not send personal information to support channels.
